I agree the numbers are sad for a 96 but in the same token HD is building motors for longer use with sloppy tolerance standards and under strick regulations to keep the EPA folks happy. So at least we have a decent starting point to do what we need to do.

I've heard that the 95 inch kit is capable of outdoing the 96. It'd be intersting to see gthe two back to back dynoed with identicle or at least close to the same upgrades done.

That is what I have read before, so the HD published numbers are misleading at best.

Those are Crank numbers. 65 HP and 73 Ft. Lbs. at the wheel on the Dyno. Just did it when I installed my PC 3 and True Duals. Now I get 70 HP and 85 Ft. Lbs.
Rule of thumb, substract 15% from Crank numbers for drive line loss.

Isn't the 95 inch big bore kit for a 88 inch stock motor? Doesn't it include a cam upgrade. In other words its a hop up kit. Are you comparing apples to apples when you compare it to a bone stock 96 inch motor. I don't know, I'm just asking.

That 92 ft/lb. figure is measured at the flywheel, not at the rear wheel as with the universally accepted method.

Fuel Moto dyno tested a stock '09 FLH which produced 65HP and 77TQ.
