New to HDforums but did do a little research on this topic. Almost every forum I have read the rider has tipped their bike and was able to turn ignition off and it resets TIP. NO Luck here.
I bought a TSSM module to replace my TSM. after I installed this module when you are in RUN and turn ignition on "TIP" displays on the odometer.
Thought maybe it was because FOB wasn't set. set it. Did a DIAG no errors. Put original TSM back in and no TIP. Is there something that I am missing when I put the TSSM in. Any help would be great. Thanks
Did you follow the "marrying" procedure to "marry" the TSSM to your scoot through the password learn feature? Also did you install it in the right position on the scoot? The TSSM has the bank angle sensor in it which is what controls the TIP feature.
I used the 2006 service manual to get the key fob to set the personal code. THere was a statement in the manual that said if the TTSM has been accidently set to sidecar mode i need to look at the Softail Models Electrical Diagnostic Manual to reset it. I guess my next step is to see if anyone has set a TSSM to sidecar or to solo. I'll search on this and see what I find. Thanks
still haven't been able to remove TIP. Do have a question. I was looking at the TSSM that the dealer sold me and the DOM has been blacked out. HDI, SWE, AUS still show. Could this part be for International electrical system and not work with my 06 softail?
