Seriously, the original (chunky) Zumo's prices defy gravity. The all-you-need-and-nothing-more 450 was down to around $350 at Amazon and Costco a while back, and now they're over $600 again. I'm hoping the 660's release drops prices on the old models. I do like HD's fairing mount for those.
I would not hold your breath according to my distributor the 660 has an MSRP $100.00 less then the 550 at $699.00 and the 550 has not changed. The reason you are finding the 450 at mass retailers at such a hugh discount is because it is a discontinued model.

Distributor here in Calgary has the 660 listed for $899.95 and the 550 for $869.95 which is worse than South of the border but those prices are in Canadian funds.
He claimed the 550 will drop by 50 to 100 bucks upon the release of the 660 but if it's going to be July like the OP said.... I won't be waiting till then....
I ordered direct from Garium on Jan. 14th, last week I was told it would ship this week, like right, if this goes on though the summer I'm going to take the $ 639.00 & put it in the bank and just get out my map books.
I also ordered one through the AMA. Shipping date is 4-27-09.
For those that are interested, Ritz Camera has them listed for under $650.00. They are not taking orders as of now and no dates are listed on their web site.
I've been eagerly awaiting the release of this thing. Been monitoring a few online retailers that used to have the expected release date of April, now they all say July..WTF? Has anybody heard anything about this new release date?
Distributer here in Calgary changed the shipping date for the 660 to today...
