Default Please help 09 Ultra
Picked up new 09 ultra tonight and took wife for a ride. She said that her back rest (on the tour pack) vibrated way too much. Does anyone know how I can reduce this vibration?

Check the Tour Pak & Passenger backrest are tightened down completely?

Will do. BTW how is the weather in Denver. I'm flying in tomorrow for a conference.

There are 4 bolts in the bottom of the pak and i'd check the bolts holding the speakers too. Also the mountings for the antenna. vibration in any of these will transfer to the passenger.

the 09 has a much stiffer back end (frame and tourpack mounts)plus new motor mounts all the way around. ive seen threads on your problem b4.some have suggested rubber bushings under the travelpack.

I just took my wife out on her first ride on my 09 Ultra. She only commented on the vibration at idle and low speeds. Once we hit the highway it went away. She made the same comment on the passenger foot rests.

I would attach something to the center of the backrest and run it down the the center of the passenger seat....should be the last time you hear about too much vibration :P

Oh that is funny!!!!! I can see a problem with that also. Excessive exaust fumes in the garage, and NO gas left in the tank........and shall I say it??? Snail tracks on the seat.

I have a 08 Ultra and my wife never has complained about vibration.
