Help bike won't start

I am rebuilding a 2001 ultra that was wrecked. I have hooked all the connections under the fairing correctly but cannot get power to start the bike, the lights come on but the fuel pump won't engage and nothing happens when I press the start button. can the security system cause this to happen or is it something else. the bike has been setting approx one year with the battery out of it. The bike was running when I parked it a year ago.

The security system can cause it to not start, hit starter button and nothing. Happens to me all the time when I forget fob.

It sounds like your tssm has disabled your starter relay.I think you need to enter the 5 digit identification number. But I'm looking at my 07 electrical diagnostic manual it might be different with the 01 model. Hopefully the owner never changed the pin number. Harley used the chassis number if there are any 0 in there change to a 1.
