Scratches
I am new to Harley FYI.
I have an '06 FLHRI and I am apparently a "Tank Squeezer". My jeans tear the hell out of the paint on the gas tank (All black) leaving swirlies, cloud formations, and general scuff marks. I have tried to clean it up with scratch remover and lots of Pig Snot, but unless I make an effort to ride with my legs at 45 degree angles, I keep scuffin' it up....
Am I the only one? I want my RK to be "perfect" and this is KILLING ME!
What to do? Will a tank bra help? I am 6' 2" by the way...

You are taking the Iron Horse thing too seriously. Relax and sit on the saddle. You don't have to grip the tank to hold on and Harleys don't respond to leg signals like a horse.
Let the bike lean into a turn so you are forced down into the seat rather than over the outer edge.

I have the same problem!!! I just bought a bra, and will put it on after I wax the tank this weekend.
Look on the bright side, at least you didn't drop you saddle bag like I did. Now I have scratches all over my bag (06 SG - Black Pearl). So I filled in the scatches with drops of Touch up paint, and will use 4K and 6K grit paper to sand/polish it down.......

You might consider using a clear film to protect the surfaces your having problems with.
