Well i used my electric heated gloves from HD this morning. 3am, northern NH at 27 degrees. 150 miles, mostly highway to work. They are the best money my wife ever spent. You don't really feel the heat, you just don't get cold.
Has anyone ever tried those heat seats, like the ones sports fans use at a game?
Anyway......4 days before we leave for Key West
Got the battery powered gloves from HD charging at home right now, going to the dragon and BRP next week. When you getting to Fla?

Hi Buffettphan,
We just did that trip in Feb. We hauled the bikes down to Fort Lauderdale and stayed at my brothers, 26 hrs. from the Ma. N.H. border. Going the Florida Turnpike wasn't that bad except there seems to be a toll about every ten miles, also I think it must be againsn't the law for any one to use their directionals. On your way down to the Keys, stop at Mile Marker 88 Bar, they have a great out side bar and a small pier to go out on. Have a great trip !! And No you won't need your new gloves, but make sure you have some 30 or better sun block.

The wife and I both have the Gerbing heated gloves and jackets that plug in like a battery tender and has a rheostat to control the temp. Best gear investment we've ever made.
+11111 on Gerbings heated gloves and jacket. Bought them last year and made a 1k plus run in 40 degrees and rain. Best money I ever spent, only problem here in Texas is I don't have to use them much. Oh and BTW if you didn't know Gerbings makes the electrics for Harley, they just cost less without the Harley name.
I like the Harley heated gloves, but the left glove doesn't seem to last. With my first pair, the left glove quit after about 2 months. My dealer replace the pair under warranty. With this 2nd pair, the left glove, again, quit working after about a year and a half (warranty is one year). A friend of mine also had his left glove quit on him after a couple years. I won't replace them until this fall. H-D came out with a redesigned glove last year, which is supposed to be better.
