Default Heated Gloves.......

I've had my snowmobile gloves quit three times in the last three years. Yeah, Gerbings will fix any wiring problems free but you still have to pay for postage and go without until they fix and return them, sometimes it takes many weeks. I love the gloves while they work but they're getting to be like Craftsman tools...they have a lifetime replacement warranty but how many times do you want to go back for a replacement wrench?

Linda you have to have the Y. The jacket liner has 3 wires one is for just the jacket
one is for the gloves the other is for pants liner if you plug your gloves in with the
wires on the sleave without the other end l\pluged in to the Y they will not have any
power to them. If you have a battery tender hookup on your bike you can buy a
adapter at harley to plug your gloves in to it

If they work like the Gerbings, then with a single controller you need the Y to connect to both connection points inside the jacket and the single end to the controller. If you have the dual controller, then connect each of the ports inside th jacket to one of the contoller leads

They make heated vests also, correct? My wife gets cold quickly in NH!
I bought heated gloves (Gerbings G3) and a heated liner (Warm 'n Safe) with a dual temperature control. Wow! What a difference.

The dealer I bought the gear from recommended the Warm 'n Safe liner over Gerbings. I tried on both liners and found the Warm 'n Safe one more comfortable. I really liked how the heated collar wrapped around your neck. Nice and warm...

Both products come with life time warranties on the heating elements.

Forget the on/off switches. You want to get the dual controller. It lets you control the amount of heat to both the gloves and liner. The controller has 3 wires. Two of them go to your liner, one for the gloves and one for the liner. The third goes to your battery connection.

I think the controller is about $100 (of course),

Default Dual Controller

A hearty recommendation for a controller over the simple on/off switch. Otherwise you are either really hot follwed by really cold. The liner gets too hot to leave on continuously with the switch.I also would advise anyone running both liner and gloves to drop the extra coin and get the dual controller. I didn't and now will be buying the dual before next cold-weather season. The dual is needed as to get the gloves toasty, the liner is too hot. If the liner is set right, your hands get a little chilled. Granted this is riding in the mid 20s to low-30s range. My two cents -- your mileage may vary.

Warm & safe dual controller is "solid state" while Gerbings in manual rheostat..... same price, the W&S is the better choice
