I just ordered a pair of 12" ohlins from Howard too. They actually shipped out today. I put a set of Progressive 430 shocks 11.5: and I'm not very happy with the ride. I hate the forks too. I'm going to order a set of the X-factor fork cartridges from him too. I did the race-tech fork kit, and it sucks. I lowered it 1-1/2" and the shocks broght the rear down an inch or so. I hate it, to be honest with you. I like the look, but you will sacrifice the ride BIG TIME. By the way, I am selling the progressive shocks for $300.00 and I'll pick up the shipping. lol Did I forget to say how much I love the progressives ? lol
Anyway, I strongly suggest, NOT lowering your FLHX or any other Harley, that you plan on being comfortable on, while doing a few hundred miles on. The badlander seat is another thing I bought and am selling $100.00. It is not a very comfortable seat for long rides. I guess I'm getting old..... Any takers on the seat or the shocks, PM me. Shaun
