Crashed the 09 SG Sat afternoon...Found some pea gravel in a turn and the next thing I knew we were riding down the ditch downhill as the turn was at the crest..Thought I was gonna ride it out in the ditch however when we hit that big pile of washdown down we went! I slid on my back for about thirty feet or so, watching as my pride and joy did the flop, sicking sound, I'm OK have a sore shoulder, bruised pride, Was a pretty soft landing really..Been riding 40 years, this is the second time down, first envolved a Camero...Had to get it off my chest so to speak..There ots done...Scooter Thank God I was riding by myself..The we reference is Me and Rastus, Hes the one at the bike doctor as we speak, It aint pretty...

Wow, glad you are relatively OK. I rode about 300 miles Saturday and was into some beautiful hard curved roads in southern Indiana. Came upon some new gravel fill in on the berm here and there where part of the gravel was pushed onto road. Slowed a bunch after I saw that and glad I did.
Sorry to hear that. Know that feeling all too well, even though its been at least 15 years since doing a 180 in pea gravel in North Carolina mountains. Luckily I was not pushing it through the turns. Still got some aspahlt on one knee. Glad your ok.
Dang, glad you're ok. In August 2006 I hit fresh gravel in a corner at 40mph and totaled out my 3 week old 2007 EG Classic. I wasn't as lucky as you. I spent 4 days in intensive care and 3 more in a regular hospital room. Five ribs broken in 9 places, banged up spleen and kidney and a bunch of road rash.
