Should I keep my 08' RG. Trade it for an 09'. Or should I trade my RG and my 06' RK and some cash for an 09' SE RG? I like all the improvements made on the 09's. Can anybody give me any input that has gone from an 08' to an 09'? I love the look of the SE Rg but I don't really care for all the extra power and the extra heat that comes with it. The Screamin Eagle is due to come in next week so I will have to make up my mind before then. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks, T.
I would love to own more than one bike! However, you can only ride one at a time.
Just go to a dealers and ride the bikes. I am sure you will come to your own conclusion. After you find a great ride it will help you with the money choices.
As far as what other think of the 09. There is plenty of info if you do a search.
I would take that ugly a$$ RG out in the driveway kick it over put a bullet in each cylinder and the tank then throw a match on it. These ugly bikes should not be let out of the Garage.
After you are done roasting marshmellows over the RG go out and get a 09 Ultra and be done with it.
Gee, trade in the 08 for an 09. what to do? Such a dilemma. You and I are pretty much polar opposites. My "new" bike is over 10 years old. The other one is over 25 years old. Once I get a bike I don't get rid of it. I never have understood why so many of you on this forum like to trade bikes so often. I guess it must be nice to always have a new bike but I get attached to mine.
easy way to find out, go to your local hd dealer. right now they are doing a 'joy ride' promotion. "walk into a harley davidson dealer and test ride any new bike available. no obligation. no bull. screw it. let's ride."
of course the fine print says 'participating dealers only', but yours may be one.
I think you've got to appreciate the differences that 09 bring by riding them. Go ride it! You'll soon discover how many improvements they've made. I only wish I had your problems. I'm more like CarlGrover. When I get em, I ride em to death. Mine is going to be 10 this year too. Maybe a new 2010 model in the future? I sure hope so. MasterBlaster has a serious love affair going on with the RoadGlide, don't you think. Too dang funny!
I would't do the CVO...factory custom is an oxymoron..Don't think the 09 is that much better than 08s I would throw a couple $$ in my 08 and make it yours...than you'll have a true custom
