Zumo 660 Shipped
I am considering whether I want to keep my current GPS76CS until March of next year then replace or take the plunge and get a Zumo 660.
The first pic shows the cover installed on the mounting bracket. The second pix shows the contacts with the cover removed. The third pic shows the Zumo installed. The others just give you a shot of the back of the unit and a close-up of the unit itself.
Hope these help some of you still on the fence.

Thanks for the pix! Not liking you anymore, cuz you're spending my $$
The installation went well. For me, it was just a matter of replacing the remnants of the Zumo 550. I had to loosen one side of the switch fairing cap to get that huge cable into the fairing area. I connected to the orange (positive) and black (negative) wires near the headlight connector. The biggest effort is removing the fairing and routing the cable.
I have used the 660 in both the truck and on the Ultra.
Things I like about the Zumo 660:
Its a Garmin. I have used several others including a Tomtom and a Magellan. In my opinion, Garmin has the best software interface. Its very easy to use.
I like the Nuvi style.
I like the configurable main navigation screen.
In general it just works very well.
Things I dont like about the Zumo 660:
You have to remove the system battery to swap micro-SD cards.
The battery compartment lid has to be removed to gain access to the mini-USB port to connect the unit to the computer.
I consider both of these to be minor inconveniences.
The biggest complaint I have is with the security of the motorcycle mount. There is no security screw like on the Zumo 550. One accidental push of that button on the right side of the mount and the 660 is going to crash to the road. It just doesnt look secure.
The bottom line:
It is a very nice unit. I think a GPS it one of the most useful items that I have put on my bike. Ive traveled roads that I would have never seen without a GPS.
If I already had a Zumo 450 or 550, there is no way that I would upgrade to the 660. In my opinion, there are just no enough new features to come anywhere close to justifying the expense.
After seeing that mounted 660, I'm less inclined to want one -- that screen is huge. Looks like a laptop mounted there! It's surely sleeker than the original chunky Zumos, but they at least have the option to mount to the fairing with HD's mount.
Hopefully now that the 660 has started to ship, we'll see some deep discounts on the original Zumo's.
