they always my bike look even better when in the same pic.
Haha Your bike aint all that!!! I bought mine for rackin' up the miles! You batwing bikenight posers can slam all you want on the RG, Goldwing, jap bike whatever! It's still a Harley! And it's sweeeeeet!
SERIOUSLY ?? didnt harley build this bike in the 80s If it was the end all to end all why did they Quit? Personal opinion only but my friends dont let friends ride them To us its the uglyst bike harley ever built
The 1st "Bagger" I ever rode was a Tour Glide (an old one. An 89). This was in the mid 90's. While not my cup of tea (at the time) I was totally impressed. I wasn't doing any distance riding then. Just bar hopping on my Shovel. But the handling, the brakes (THE STEREO !!!) Only negative was (& still is) I didn't like the lowers. My legs were cookin.
I don't think RG's look jap coming towards me. You can tell what it is just by the riders stance behind the fairing.
I know here in San Jose, they sell EVERY Roadglide they get. I can't believe they'll discontinue it.

First Tour Glide was in 80 , discontinued in 98 for some stoopid reason and resurrected ( a poor resurrection I might add ) as the Road Glide ..
I had an 84 TG that I bought new and put 220,000 on in 4 and a half years , traded that on an 88 TG that I put 342,000 on up till last July when I got the Roadie ..
That 84 with springs on the rear , air in the front , and enclosed chain was the best riding of the three hands down ..
Ugliest Harley ever built ?? Nah hadda be the XLCR ..
OK, OK, I repent - I didn't mean to slam the StreetGlide; it was a weak moment. But I had just finished reading a post a couple of clicks up about a test ride someone made on the Triumph Rocket and it got very favorable reviews. Then a slamfest about the Road Glide? People get real - at least it's a Harley!
I really enjoy my Road Glide - most satisfactory touring bike I have owned. But I really enjoyed my Road King as well. In fact, I have enjoyed every bike that I have ever owned - Hondas, BMWs, Yamahas, BSA, etc. It would have seemed silly to have purchased them if I didn't enjoy them. But my Harleys have been the most satisfying and enjoyable of all the bikes; that's why I own them.
On the fourth day of a week long tour, the Road Glide just seems to fit. It's comfortable, large, and the fairing makes back-to-back 500 mile days more than tolerable. And the rumble of that huge V-twin between my legs is far more satisfying than some inline six or four cylinder sewing machine.
