We went with the Red hot sunglow and Smokey gold. After i saw the Root beer color in the sun i wish i would have ordered that because my riding buddy has the sunglow and gold also. Looks like one of us could not make a choice on another color. Both bikes are 09 Ultra's and we love them.
+1 on the candy root beer. does not look good in pictures. you have to see it in person. it is the only 2 tone that I like. cant go wrong with black either.
I agree. the root beer is classic. Reminds me of the bikes I use to see as a kid. Very cool.
Plus one for the Deep turquoise and cream. I bought it during Bike Week. I went looking to buy the Sun Glow Red, But was crazy about it in the direct sun light. The wife saw the green and fell in love. It took a few hours to fully grow on me, but by the time i left the dealership..... I love it. as always just my 2 cents
You've gotta go with what YOU like. Forget about what everyone else likes, it's YOU, that's going to be sitting up nights with her when she's sick, or just isn't feelin right. And it's YOU that's going to be looking at her every single time you ride. Just make sure YOU like it, and you'll be happy. Opinions? Go BLACK!
I couldn't deside between red hot sunglo or black pearl. Called my wife from work and told her to call the dealer and put a deposit on the one she liked the best. She made a great choice, I love the red hot sunglo. Plus she gets to say "I picked it out" which is cool with me.
Read an article in American Twin Magazine about new '09 Touring Models. Saw Flame Blue Pearl and Pewter Pearl bike in the magazine and had to go out to a local dealer (Not my dealer) and...Bam, The bike was sitting in the showroom floor where I made a few round trips around the bike drooling. Called my own dealer and asked when the Blue and Pewter was coming. 3 weeks so I waited patiently and bought it once I was introduced and met the newest love of my life in a room that was off limits to customers.
BTW, Red Hot Sunglo/Smokey Gold was nice as my heart was also throbbing. Wish I had the extra money to buy another Ultra.
looking to purchase a 2009 ultra. The deep turquoise and cream is kinda jumping out at me, but also i'm thinking it might be a bit much. Just curious to get all your prospective on the color options for the 09 ultra. I am also hearing the 2010 ultra color choices are only offering two (2-tone) options. (according to the dealer - that is). All i know is after the test ride...wow
better make your pick quick. From what I hear from the dealer, the ultra will only be offered in blue, black, red, and one other solid next year. According to the guy I talked to, they aren't even doing any 2-tones... They also say the FXDL is getting canned though...
