TVIII and Doherty Air Intake Installed
Installed Terminal Velocity (TVIII) fuel management system (www.terrycomp.com/ProductDetail.aspx?ProdID=151) and Doherty air intake today.
Haven't put enough miles on to really see the benefits of the mods yet but there are immediate improvements I can feel and hear.
One immediate thing is that there is a noticeable increase in power and pull, the bike runs out of breath at a higher rev. range. Basically shift points have moved up a notch and there is a more linear response in acceleration. The popping on decel has also reduced considerably, however will need another day or two before the TVIII system begins to provide benefits.
Overall; so far so good. My biggest reasoning for doing these mods was that I wanted it to run smoother and a bit cooler, any other benefits are just icing on the cake. Shop also recommended installing an Oil Cooler but I left this one off for now, I want to see if the new mods will bring the temp down to a more comfortable level, if not will add the cooler in the future.
