Sorry to say, but there's no easy answer. It runs the gambit. You're gonna have to experiment. You'll find that what works for her sucks for you and vis versa. We ended up compromising with a 10 inch FastAire. We tried the 12" stock, and equivalent Cee Baileys super contour. We liked the FastAire the best.

Still like my 10" Windvest over anything else I've tried. Clearview and stock is all, the Windvest has a more radical recurve moving more air up an over.

You might want to borrow a few shields and try them until you get what you're looking for.
My wife doesn't like anything shorter than the stock 12" shield.
I tried an 8" clearview and she didn't like it after we hit 45 mph.
I'm sure she'd love the 15" Harley shield , but I'd rather not run one that tall.
If she's happy , we're happy , or so she says........
I think she's right.

I just ordered my second shield from here. The halfmoons are pretty cool.

My vote is also for the halfmoons. Great shield and wonderful people who will actually talk to you about your needs.
