Default 2015 RG windshield height

Sorry for this short question but I need to know the best windshield height for 2015 RG. I am 6,2 tall with low seat. I consider a 10” tall windshield. It’s my first RG so I don’t know how it’s working the height calculation. I used to have a 6” on my previous EG. Thanks!

A factor you may have missed is how you sit when riding. Some folks sit fairly erect, some crouch a bit. I suggest you contact a couple of the aftermarket windshield vendors and talk with their staff for guidelines.

Being tall I sit low and back. So it's a matter of comparing with other tall riders experience. Contacting manufacturers (I live in Romania) is tricky and I also need a rider's experience. So I'm waiiting for other people's advice. Thanks any way !

Default Windshields

Different manufacturers have different ways to calculate windshield heights. I have a 12 inch freedom shield that I'm very happy with while the one before that was a 14 inch Cee Bailey which are no longer made.
That's why it is important to contact the folks that make the shields.
For lack of a better way to do it, sit on your bike and have some one use a tape measure with the 0 mark where your windshield would mount on the bike. Keep pulling out the tape until it gets up to your line of sight. You want to look through the top portion of the shield with the ability to sit up very straight and see over the top.
Good luck trying to order and receive a US shipment in Romania. You might do better traveling to western Europe or England or ordering from those places.

KW put together a video showing how you can measure for the size that you want/need. You will need a friend, or a center stand if you're going to do this yourself. Basically you will sit on your bike, in the position that you ride in. You will then take a pole/yardstick and stick it straight out from the top of your mouth, and then use a tape measure to measure down to your fairing. That measurement will help guide you on the size of windshield to order.

At your height, I would think a 15 inch or a 16 would be a good height for you. I'm 5'10" and a 14 inch is pushing it. But, you want the top of the shield to be at your nose level. Sit on your bike, and have someone with a ruler place it above your current shield and see what that comes to. I'm think at least 15 inches.
