what are you road glide owners using for a windshield? I have tried the stock 14 inch one, the 11 1/2 inch one, and the 5 inch solid black one. I am not happy with any of them. I am looking for one windshield that makes the bike look good, moves the air away from the speakers, and give good wind protection. I understand that I cannot have the best of all worlds in one windshield, but I want one that will work "well" in all situations. Any and all comments and suggestions welcome.
I've been using the cee bailys dome windshield at 14 inchs, works good looks good, iam 6'4 so I still catch some air on my face but no drone and I can hear the stereo well up to 85-90mph
10" dark smoked ........most all wind on my face is
coming from under the faring and around the tank .( installing lowers would help this )
I ride with contacts and a cheap pair of safety glasses....no problems there,
and I can hear the stereo just fine.
I'm happy with my Clearview GT+1 ... but....it's all subjective.... what "looks good" to one, looks "like crap" to another.
How tall are YOU? and how tall do you sit on the bike?
generally those short shields look real "cool" but are as worthless as **** on a boar (there will now be 20 replies statining that the poster's short shield ROCKS!)
I'm 5 ft 8, but short legs, and a long torso, I sit pretty high on the bike... OEM sheild, Cee Bailet replacement, Cee Bailey shortie, didn't work for ME... this CV does....
I have the Clearview XL. It's a drive-in movie screen of a windshield, but it WORKS. I can hear the speakers clearly and there is practically no wind. I tried a 12" Klock Werks and sold it after a week. Waste of my money and install time.
