2008 FLHTCUI Elevtra Glide Ultra Classic. Currently running the Harley Davidson Flamed windshield which I've cut approx 4" off the top. I really like it but looking for something to change the look a bit. I really like the Clearview 8" windshield with the recurve at the top. Anyone have one of these? How does the recurve work? U like it?
Also I'd like to find a windshield with the recurve but in a Bronze tint-Clearview doesn't offer Bronze tint. Anyone seen snything like this?
Riderspecialties.com offers their Super Step Contour in Bronze, but that is one wicked radical curve on that one--a bit much for my taste. Really like the looks of the Clearview recurve. If anyone knows where I can get one similair in Bronxe it would make my day.

I have never seen a bronze colored Clearview. As far as the recurve goes, mine is only 6.5 inchs( the windsheild that is), I am 5-11 and wear very light maui jims prescription sunglasses and they dont bounce around on my face.
Came home from the local casino the other day and I was shocked as to how many bugs where splattered on the windshield because I didnt get a single bug in the face and thought the bugs were not out yet. So you will definatley like the 8 inch.

windvest makes a nice recurve style w/s in a few different tints..bronze?/ dunno
I'm looking at Cee Baileys too. They say the windsield height should be at your chin level and it will deflect the wind over your head. That doesn't seem quite right to me. How does yours work?
I like my Half-moon wings from www.customflhtwindshields.com. Really helps to hear the radio better and keeps the wind off the passenger. Good people to deal with and maybe can help you with the bronze tint. Mine is 8 in.

I have the 6.5" recurve on a SG and it works very well. You can put your hand by the windshield at highway speed and you feel no wind from the top on the shield up about 1.5". So a 6.5" shield is acting like one that is 8". I am 5'8", have a fork baffle and ride a Corbin and there is no wind-buffeting at all.
Having said that I am not sure about how good it is in rain. I have only had the bike for 1 riding season (Minnesota, read as short) and only had one rain riding opportunity & it was not good. I was only a couple of miles away from home and I was just wearing regular sunglasses but so much water (not direct rain) was getting into my eyes that it was difficult to see. I don't remember this happening on my RK or any other bike with a shield. This has me wondering if the turbidity caused by the Recurve creates a problem when ridding in rain. I am actually looking forward to a rain / ride opportunity to fully test how good it is the rain before I leave for the Patriot Guard Rally in Utah this summer.
Anyone have any riding in the rain comments with a Recurve?
