Is this bag waterproof? Not sure what "water-, and weather-resistant" means.
It does come with a rain cover in which I have never used even though being caught in some heavy down pours. I believe most bags regardless of brand can not be completely water proof. I do however use freezer bags when protecting my valuables like digital cameras etc. because sh*t happens......
I have yet to use it, but it looks like it's a quality case. It fits inside the tour pack (en route from LSHD1) and on top the tour pack luggage rack. If needed, I'll put a stuff bag in the tour pack and stack the Bootcase on the luggage rack, almost doubling my capacity.
Will the bootcase fit inside the tour pack with a lid organizer.
Unknown. I didn't order the lid organizer. It may be on my wish list. I'll receive my tour pack today (hopefully) and try to detirmine if there's room by taking some measurements.

Bob.
This looks like it may be an even better option than the horseshoe design. I do already have the HD bag for inside the tour pak but wouldn't hurt to have a backup.
Is the Bootcase a rigid bag or does it fold up? Thanks for the input, was very helpful. Now which one...Horseshoe, Bootcase...Bootcase, Horseshoe??
Still open to hear from anyone that is using the Horseshoe design.
