Default Looking for Tech minded Help

Picked up my 09 Ultra last week and only got a chance to ride 9KM to fill it up. Parked in the garage a couple of days later, I had the need to sit on it and to push it back with my feet so I could move it foeward to gain better access to the other side of the bike. Pushed back easily in nuetral woth leg power but would only move forward about 1 ft before it got harder and finally pushed back on it's own. Almost felt like a rubber band wind up toy. Only way I could get it forward wa to start it and move forward. Under power ther still seems to be a force trying to prevent forward movement although that the motor can easily overcome. Any one any ideas. Total mileage on bike 9.1 Km about 6miles or so.

maybe yr clutch isn't adjust corectly, maybe the factory just messed that up. when ya start it and its in nuetral will it move? i had a clutch issue and when it was up on the jack, even when it was in nuetral, if i started it the rear tire would role.

could be that simple...

How far does it want to "push back"? If it's just a few inches I'll bet your brakes are tight. When new my front brakes were tight enough to cause some drag. A little wear & things loosened right up.

+1 sounds like the brakes are still very tight on the rotors.

Mine was hard to move when new. It'll loosen up with miles. I actually think its the belt.

Being that it is a spakin new scoot, there are a number of things that can make it hard to push. Everything is tight that will change with time and wear. Maybe the belt is too tight, the brakes.

It's normal on a new bike. It will pass with time but if you want peace of mind take it to the dealer to be checked --it's free anyway.

Congrats on the new scoot.

Back from dealer nothing found. Even had 2 others try it before it was driven into the trailer ( I know, I know, trailer ) same thing like a rubber band winding up and causing the bike to stop and push back about 6 inches. it Behaved as it should when arriving and unloading. Checked all possibly related, belt tension, wheel adjustment, no marks on rear pully and trans all as should be . I think it felt belt related and that it seemed like is was trying to ride up on the rear pully, at least it felt like that. The thing is, I had not gotten around to putting my bell on this bike, that's probably the reason.
I appreciated the dealer taking the time to look at even though no reason was found, great techs.
