I have them on my FLHX. No issues with people seeing them, but I also ride with my high beam on.

I followed a co-worker with the smoked lenses one day and I personally wouldn't have them. They are very hard to see in the day.

FWIW, the girl I ride with was running regular bulbs with smoked lenses on her Fatty. I ride in front of her so I see her turn signals in my mirrors.

When she changed to LED's (kept the smoked lens) there was a HUGE and noticeable difference in the brightness. So much so, it was the first thing that I commented on when we went on a ride. It's a pretty cheap and easy change considering. They are on all the time (running lights), which I also noticed. Don't remember if the regular bulbs were also running lights, but if they were, it didn't "register" with me - certainly not like the LED's have.

I say, if you like the smoked lens...get LED's if you're concerned about being seen.

+1 on that. I have the regular bulbs in mine but my bud's Roadie has the LEDs and they are MUCH brighter. For the rear i just put on the red lenses and left the clear bulbs. I think you can see them fine.

I went the totally opposite direction with the Bones, bigger ang uglyer. I did have the smoked on my Sportster and they seemed fine, they were still pretty bright.

Every lense on my bike is smoked and It was fine with regular bulbs but I added the run/stop/turn module so I needed red bulbs in the rear signals and regular reds wont show thru the smoked lense so I ended up going with LED's all over. Nice and bright and proper colors show very well. I got them at www.nomagicneon.com excellent fast service and saved a few $ too.

The pics aren't as good as in person at all.

I have them all the way around. Actually, I will soon be switching to bullets and my smoked lenses and amber bulbs will be for sale

Default Smoked Lenses

Harley has a kit that turns the back turn lights into running lights, brake lights as well as turn signals. I run red lenses on the back to match the brake light. Everything on the front is smoked with LED's. No problems being seen.
