Sticky DBW Throttle.....
mine is very smooth,,,never an issue...i was hoping what i suggested would have been the quick fix for you...
Scott,
Man, that made alot of sense. Unfortunitly I went out and gave that a try, still notchy. Are most of you experiancing a nice smooth action while twisting your throttle slowly? I'm just curious. On my bike this is quite annoying. If I have to I'll by a new sensor, but not if this is the "norm" Thx.........Rich

Postion is everything. Loosed the screws, rotate up and down and in and out on the handlebars. Hold the housing together with your left hand while turning the throttle. See if you can find a spot that rolls and releases freely. If you find that spot tighten the screws. If that does not work then you have something rubbing or bent and if lube does not cure it then you will have to see what is rubbing and replace that part. Hope that helps.
Made a visit to my local HD dealer to discuss the sticky throttle. They agreed it felt sticky, and not as smooth as a new 09, but it wasn't broke so it is not covered under warrenty. $89.95 later, new one will be here in 5 days... I guess your throttle needs to hang open before they will do anything, Well at least that's the story at my dealer..
Be careful on the throttle side. Only open the case far enough to remove old grip and install new grip. Put a mark on the handlebars so that you can align it again. It could rotate up or down and change location and mirror setting. Make sure that you back brake is not stuck on after you are finished. My brake light was stuck on and I just rotated the switch housing until the lights went out. Then tighened everything up. Easy to get this wrong. Even the dealer had my lights stuck on when in for service. Also make sure that it turns and returns smoothly before you tighen everthing up.
