Hi,
I am considering purchasing a Quick Shift Heel Toe shifter from eGlideGoodies for my 2009 Road Glide.
Anyoner had experience with this product and/or vendor?
Any strong feelings regarding other shifters?
I had considered this as well, but I have lowers and it says you can't use it with lower (or you have to cut up your lowers atleast.) Still, I'm curious if anyone has any experience with this too.
Well I took the chance allthough no one seemed to have any experience with this shifter. I installed the unit and here are my thoughts:
Looks great
Gives more floor board space
Needs more development as it does not work well
Clearances are not adequate
Binds on occassion
Reinstalled the HD shifter with some new pegs and linkage.
Lesson learned......this forum is a great source of information.
Just my thoughts for others inclined to try this unit.
I just had rocker boards installed at americade it elimanates shifter and brake peddle and brings floor boards out an inch. Its a must have if you are running lower fairings and are trying to make foot transition from highway pegs to brake and talk about speed shifting!best invention on my bike other than cruise control. www.briggsmade.com
I will post pics tommorow.
Well....I tried again and after some frustrating adjusting, I think this shifter may grow on me. I really like the additional space on the floor board for my foot. The shift action seems to be positive and short, however I can see that more adjustments will be required. Time will tell how well the brass bushings at the pivot points wear.
I attached some pictures for reference.
