Thanks for posting I have been thinking about replacing the mufflers on my 09 ultra. I have been bouncing between these two as well. Like you I headed down to the local dealer as well and I love the rich deep sound of the MO's I am leaning towards the chrome with chrome tips I have the light and dark root beer so I think it would look better. If anyone has the chance and wouldn't mind i would love to see a pic of the MO's with the slash up as the first post stated. On vances website it dosent say or show any good pics. The ones there almost look like a straight cut.
Thanks Don
Several pics in my profile of the tips flipped over if your interested. Just check out my album.

Here are a couple pix of my MO's with the slash up.
Thanks for the pics guys ...................really helped me make up my mind those MO's look so sweet and I really liked the low rumble. Do you need to do anything other then unbolt the stock and install the new. I mean do I really need to go to the dealer and do the download thing. Or is that only if I change the air filter as well.
Did you flip the end caps when you first got the mufflers, or after some miles? Either way, did you have any issues getting it done?
Corey
I installed them slash down (like they came from the factory), had a look and flipped the caps before I even fired her up. The only downside to having them slash up is you see the soot from the exhaust on the end caps. If they were slash down it wouldn't be noticeable.

Just gotta detail a little more often dude.....lol
There is someone on EBay selling them for $589 w/shipping and this almost to tempting for me (and they have 99.9% good feedback). Id love the black with chrome tips but then Id have to change the whole exhaust and I dont want to do that. I just want to be sure the black will look good on my blue bike.
