Default Help with PC III USB

Hello all,
I just purchased a PC III USB from fuel moto not to long ago. I had him set me up with a map for my K&N air filter and Wild Pigs Slip-ons. Now after riding the scoot, it seems to be running rich. Is this commen? Also, are there any other tricks or advice with these things? I am new to the EFI and these tunners. Thanks.

My '07 EGC too ran rich after the PCIII install with Stage 1 filter and Supertrapp 2 into 1 exhaust. I initially used the download from Dynojet's site for this combination as I pieced everything together vs buying the package. I then had the scoot dynoed and it runs great now.

You need to get it on a Dyno for it to run correctly. A lot of HD service centers will not touch the Power Commander so you will need to find a Dynojet near you.

I had the same problem with my PCIII MAP download- I contacted Jamie at "Fuel Moto", provide my sales order number and current Bike configuration, he promptly provided a new MAP via email - accessed it with the Power Cdr software with bike running via USB and transfered new MAP to the bike and the bike runs soo much better. Hope this helps- Jamie provided his number if I needed assistance- Super Service from this Company.

I agree PM Jamie at FuelMoto and tell him you order number etc and he can fix you up, I understand that the maps Jamie provides most of the time dont need to be Dino'd, He is real good with them.

I received my map from Jamie, then I emailed Jamie with my concerns and his reply was to check the closed throttle position on the PC software. That still does not help me to much. Any other advice? Will it hurt the bike running to rich? I can tell a major change in the bikes performance and running a lot better by adding the PC III!

I don't know exactly but it smells like it is rich and maybe a bit hotter.

Given, you confirmed the closed throttle position by selecting reset at idle using the laptop PC hookup, I recommend you provide Jamie with other indications from the bike, which will help him select a MAP for your Bike.

After resetting the throttle position I was still running rich. I gave Jamie the particulars of what the engine was doing and the map I was using, he provided me with a new map which I loaded and he pretty much nailed it, bike runs alot better now!!
