hello I would like to know if someone removed the core from kerker mufflers. I got a 2009 with catalyst and the sound at iddle is a shame. the problem is that I cant change headers for a non catalyst so maybe a free exit muffler can help.
has anybody remove kerkers core or changed them for mikuni cores? is it hard to do it? how are the results?
Im afraid that if I remove the core I will have a lack of back preasure and maybe mufflers get blue for the extra heat.
no, they dont have disks inside, just a regular core. this kerkers used to be the old SEII. I wrotte to supertrapp and they told me that maybe changing stock k3 core for a mikuni core will help to get more sound but they told me that mikuni core is shorter and maybe mufflers can get blue because of having just half heatchield inside the muffler.
