Rust on brake rotors
2009 FLHRC Vivid Black
I was washing the bike yeaterday and noticed rust forming on the front brake rotors, inside the cutouts. I went to the garage to get a can of trusty WD40 and realized this is not an area you want a lubricant.. any sugestions

Depends on how **** you are.When my 05 showed signs of rust buildup in the cutout edges,I cleaned then up with thinner and then brush painted the edges with Rustolium black paint,wiping the rotor face off with the thinner leaving a sharp edge,Never had the rust show again and the rotor looked better.My 09 FHLTC rotors look like they have been painted in the cutouts.

Try These
For rust proof, just buy a set of these. Rust prevention is probably the worst reason to buy them but they sure work well. You can not chrome of polish them for those who are wondering and is a selling point.
