05 Ultra paint defect
I have 1000 miles on my 05 Ultra. Noticed last night that there was a very small piece of paint missing ( hate to use the word chip) on the pin-striping on the tank. I first thought I must have had a rock hit it or something. I took the bike into the shop today for the 1K mile service. The service manager took a look at the tank where the spot was and said that they had a sportster have the same problem recently. He's ordering a new tank to put on. Just wanted to let you know in case you have any problems, that you're not alone.

Thanks for the heads up. I have an 04 with 1700 miles on it. I will keep my eyes open for it.

Good pointer and really great to hear a good report about a dealer. There are way too many good guys out there that get too little attention because of the f*ck-ups that we occassionally deal with at dealerships.
