Dammit! [:@]

So now I'm staring at my forks every time I ride!

Mine is crooked too! [&:]

So share the secret of how to not look at it? I never saw it before, and now...

Mine "looks" straight, but does have a slight lisp

Sorry...I almost didn't do it...but couldn't resist. I know those things make you wacky. My Fatboy was a bit like that, but honestly I just stopped noticing it.

Blukrom,

In your triple tree, where you handlebars attached to, are rubber bushings. These bushings support your bars and can allow your bars to be a bit misaligned from time to time. You can straighten them out yourself by forcing the bars far left or far right to adjust when needed. Some folks have even replaced the rubber bushings with something stronger.

Well I glad im not alone. Its one of those things that doesnt seem bad enough to have the dealer look at under warranty but now that I see someone else has asked I wont feel bad.
Been there and done that and still can't get the bars turned to the left far enough. Like I stated earlier, that's what the dealer did when I first mentioned it to them. It helped a little but they are still angled to the right slightly. Also, that will not change the fork alignment.
I payed close attention on the ride in this morning. The bars are aligned with the triple tree (so its not the rubber bar mounts.) It seems that I am ridding with the forks turned slightly to the right....no wallet....the crown in the road was going the other way. So I guess the long and the short of it is......Mine doesnt go straight. I think they have a whole section on alignment in the service manual, I guess I will look into how to check it.

I have had this problem on my last 3 bikes (1softail and 2 roadkings). I tried to have the dealer straighten it out once but it got worse, I thing its a Harley thing. The only bike I dont notice it on is my wifes sporty. It bothered the heck out of me at first but now I dont even notice it. Im glad to know its just not me though.

I feel sorry for you guys with two eyes. Fortunately, I'm a cyclops. Everything looks straight to me. Which can present somewhat of a problem in San Fransico.
