Default Where is this **** made?!?!?!

My brother, who has a 07 streetglide, was riding over to my house yesterday, and his whole airfilter and cover fell off!!! He has a screaming eagle filter and kit that came on the bike. We look at the bike and the studs that hold it on to the throttle body sheared off and the threads are still in the throttle body!!!! We tried to drill them out and retap the throttle body but could only get two to work!!! Has ANYONE else have this happen. What a crazy monday.

Wow...That sounds very odd! I'd go back to the dealer where this was purchased (and installed, if applicable) and ask WTF!?!

Hopefully no broken fragments were sucked into the throttle body...that would suck big time.

Yup, the moron indi that did my 95kit install norked up mine.
It is not anywhere near what happened to you, but the one stud closest to the center of the bike was tightend to the point it has cracked the TB casting...only noticed this when I went to clean the filter element...
Called him up and he said "Prove it "...
Thanks Chuck at C&S Cycle in Richmond BC....
Hope there is some warrenty for you.

My brother bought it used from a dealership, it already had it on the bike. The filter element had stress cracks in the cast metal as well. As far as we know the Throttle Body is fine. He is calling today to check on warranty issues. Just check the back of the filter element when you clean it so this wont happen to you!

I hate to hear anything like that, sort of makes you want to stay away from the stealers.
