It has been raining non stop in Florida now for 3 days with no clearing insight for several more!!!
4 to 6 inches a day! I know that we have great riding weather most of the time but this "office/cabin" fever is killing me.
I just needed to whine to people that understand the need to ride their HD's on a daily basis.
Thanks for your time and be safe.
I feel your pain. Not raining all day here. Only starts about 2 hours before I get outta work and quits after I go to bed. Guess I need to get a night job so I can ride all day.
Aint doing much for the dead grass but the weeds are growin like crazy.
Our07Ultra, I am a local here in St. Aug. as well and I too have had it with the 30-50mph wind and squalls right here on the water (Intracoastal, south of town) pounding just like a lttle tropical storm for days. Gonna have to put knobbies on my Heritage just to get down my dirt road when it finally lets up. Bad omen right at the start of hurricane season... .
I feel your pain!!!
Rain is one thing but this is ridiculous. Not only that but I see rain in the forecast for the next ten days. WTF!
I just bought a brand new bike two weeks ago and I want to ride the damn thing.
There now you don't have to feel so bad for whining. How about I drive my cage up there and we can sit under your tiki bar drink beer, watch cable and watch the pool fill up?
Laughing at you, Guys. Spent all my winter sitting in Living Room watching TV, Wild Mood Swings and ranting obnoxiously. Now, I get to ride while you sit out in the rain.
I knew that when I posted this I was sounding like a big fat sweaty girl whinning about Spandex chaffe.
I don't care who you are, that's funny right there....
It'll dry up soon enough. Like the others have said, try putting her away in November and not getting her back out till March/April. That absolutely sucks!!!!
I wish this rain would have come a week earlier. We had a nasty fire in the woods behind my house that got too close for me. It was nasty! Police were telling us we'd have to get out soon, but then the Fire Dept got a hold of it. Bless their butts for putting it out. It destroyed a lot of brush and trees. Took overnight for the FP to be sure, as there were a bunch of little smokers still burning the next morning. We were starting to get a lot of small to mid size fires here in S. Fl, so the rain is much appreciated.
We were just up in St. Augustine last weekend for the "Riding into History' Concourse on Sat, and had great weather till around 3pm, then...................blah. So we left to head South with a stop at JP Cycles store. Hey if you can't ride you might as well buy something for the bike. Right?? Makes me feel better!
Raining solid here in NE FL too. Gotta go home a drain some out of the pool when I get home tonight. It was damn near full when I left for work this morning and I'm sure it's overflowed by now.
Plus you need to turn the heater on for a couple of hours to get the temp right again
