Has anyone been on the road, broke down and had to use the HOG Full membership benifits? How was your experience with the whole thing?
Wife and I are taking off for a 2800mi. road trip and since I was given a full membership when I bought my bike, I was wondering if anyone has any tips for me?
Thanks guys

I used it one time. Wife and I were hit from behind at a traffic light. Rear fender was smashed into the tire. I called the number on the card and they sent a tow truck out and towed it to the Dealership for me. Cost me nothing.

Look at the road side protection plans (protect my ride) in owners sections of HD's website. I upgraded my roadside to the Ultra Package ($29.95 a year). The benefits and peace of mind it offers is well worth the $30 a year. You'll have to create a account with HD if you don't have one already to view the area. Check it out you won't regret it!

Agree !!!
I was out of state in 06 and had an electrical break down. Called Hogs roadside service and they towed the bike to a dealer and I spent the night in a nice motel and had my meals payed for. I also have towing on my insurance and they reimbursed me $100 so the one time it was used I received enough money for another three years.

FWIW, I have it here in Europe and used it a few weeks ago when cruising the Autobahn. It's through an outfit in the UK and when I called the UK number provided, they said "oh, you live in Switzerland, we'll connect you to HOG Switzerland", who then said "oh, you're broke down in Germany, we'll connect you with HOG Germany", who wouldn't take my gps coordinates but needed a mileage marker (and made me hike to find it!) but then had me a very professional tow outfit, all within 2 hours. Put me up in a nice hotel (it was Good Friday and the dealers were closed), stored my bike in their garage overnight, then picked me up the next morning and delivered me and my bike to the dealer.

I'll be renewing!

Haven't used it yet, but was reading another thread that said that calling the 800 number on the National HOG card and paying the $20-$30 upgrade to the Plus or Ultra package gives much better towing coverage and the latter includes up to $1k in trip interruption insurance for hotels, food, rentals, etc.

So this service is also valid in Europe? That is good to know because I am headed to Germany with the Army.
