I have a HD chopped tour pack on my 2008 FLHT. It's mounted with the HD detachable 2-up tour-pak rack. Recently I changed to a solo seat. I really like the solo but I'd like to mount the tour-pak closer to the new seat for long trips. Do I need anything else besides the detachable solo tour-pak rack to do this? Do I need new docking hardware too?
Does anyone know what part numbers I need to order?
Carry an extra set of bushing's in your tour pack on long trips in case you have one fail on the road, they're easy to replace if you have them, and will save you from a loose and rattling tour pack while on a trip, Factory's are around $7 or 8 apiece, worth it for the peace of mind IMHO!
I have mine mounted in the solo position. To move from solo to two up will require both sets of docking hardware and also changing the tour pack rack mount.
I am drawing up a design of my own to be able to lift up and back to move the pack from solo to two up. With this set up you should use the solo seat and carry a passenger pillion in the tour pack when moved back. Hopefully some day soon I will get it all welded up.

Keep us posted on how it turns out! Sounds like a great idea and I might be interested in one.
i have the solo tourpak mount. i can definitely recommend getting the george anderson relocation kit. it will give you a couple more options for moving the tourpak back a little. with the hd kit, i felt the backrest on the tourpak was jamming me in the back. just that extra 1-1/2 (first setting) on the ga kit gave me enough room to feel more like i was 'leaning back' into it.
Just mounted the Chopped Tour Pak with a solo mount on my 2009 FLHT with an H-D Signature solo seat. Like the looks and it's the perfect size, but it seems to be to far back for me to easily lean against. In fact, my back doesn't touch the backrest at all when seated in my usual position. Anyone else with similar problem with '09-'10 solo mounts? (I am 5'11" and my arms are not short.) BTW, the backrest that comes with the Signature solo is perfect for me. So I would like to have the TP backrest fit just as well.
This was posted on an earlier thread - can't remember who supplied it though. Depending on price and if it ever gets to be reality it would definitely be the way to go
