That is awesome, CruzN, and just the kind of thing I've been looking for! I have an '08, but still can't add air at a lot of gas stations because the nozzles are too long to get the right angle between the valve stem and brake rotor. I'm ordering one of these, pronto. Thanks for the link!
09 Cast wheels (non spoked) suck! Went to four different gas stations to find an air hose nozzle that would actually fit inbetween the "spokes" of the cast wheel so I could add some air. Front really sucks, back is not bad since the valve stem is offset.
I'm not one to change wheels, but I might just do it for this reason.
I concur. I had to go out and buy a 90 degree air chuck for my compressor just to add air to my front tire. Luckily it was inexpensive. Until you figure in fuel, time, and frustration.

It comes in a nice carrying pouch, I leave it in my bags all the time.
I find myself using it on the car and truck at home also. Easy to check and top off tires then using the manual gauge.
Cruzn, the picture with the gauge shows a spoked wheel, while your bike appears to have cast wheels. I own the same gauge and it wouldn't work on my 09 cast wheels. I had to buy the HD version with the 90 degree chuck. The only problem is that you can't add air through the HD gauge like you can the other.
HD does a lot of smart things on their bikes, the 09 cast wheels aren't one of them.
Someone needs to design a similar device to that fill-through gauge but connected to a screw-on valve adapter and maybe with a longer hose.
The valve adapter from the shock pump would be perfect since it loses no air. The gauge would allow for accurate filling with a compressor and have a button for letting out precise amounts of air.
Are you paying attention, HarleyGoodies?

I have the cast wheels and it works for me. I use one finger to push the value stem over about 1/2 inch then I attach the hose. I've done this several times. The picture on the original post is from their website. If I think of it tonight I'll take one with my wheels.
Boy and I thought it was me. Washed my 09 SG for the first time yesterday and the biggest pain was checking and putting air in tires. Even with bags and seat off, I could barely get the long nozzle on my guage to fit on the rear stem, same for compressor nozzle. Had to bend the stem over. Front was easier to get at but still needed to bend stem.
