Default rear wheel/tire swap

I bought a brand new rear wheel and tire taken off for a custom. The disc and pulley were removed to use on the custom. All I really want/need is the tire, but I think it would be easier to just take my disc and pulley off and put it on the new wheel. In the manual it says if you remove the disc to be sure it is put back on in original position. My question for the forum is: Will it be okay to take my disc and pulley off and put it on the new wheel or would it be better to swap the tire?
tia, rem

Ditto it's hard to give accurate advise with the little info you provide.

The ride in question is an '09 ultra and an identical rear wheel and tire.
Thanks,

besides the "custom" reference (not sure zactly what you meant), You'll be good to go to swap but you want to use new HD bolts for the pulley, as they are 1 time use and prolly do the same for the rotor. Good luck.

i meant the original owner of the take off was replacing it with a custom wheel and a black wall before it had ever been used.

i've been running the s--t out of it since i got it in jan. - 7000miles and that's with a couple of weeks of ice keeping it in the garage. '09 - harley may have finally got it right (except, evidently, the swingarm drain which i'll be checking this weekend)
thanks again, rem
