I have a rattle coming from the area around the right floor board on my 2006 Road King classic. I hear it when I stop. But it stops rattling when I put it on the jiffy stand, I have looked and can’t find anything loose. Has anyone come across this? If so what fixed it? Thanks George
I had a nasty rattle in my 05 Ultra - swore it was engine related - only occured at certain rpm's - was about to bring her into the stealership - then I found it.
The highway pegs would vibrate against their supports - put my foot on the pegs - no vibration.
Also, don't assume the location of the rattle. Rattles can be 'telegraphed' from one location and it sounds like it's coming from another. Check the rubberized mounts on the right-hand muffler. Sometimes they squeek or rattle when they get dry. Some WD 40 fixed it on my bike. Also check exhaust flange bolts. They can work their way out over time.
