Default Grip Change

Getting ready to go for the grip change and was wondering if someone can tell me how the glueless grips work on the newer bikes? Do they have double sided tape or what? I will be changing the grips on my 09 so any tips would be appreciated! Thanks in Advance!

I did my buddy's grips on his 08 and I think there is a notch in where it goes into the switch housing that sort of "keeps" it in place. It was very simple to do, just make sure you take your time and look at it logically. Good Luck.
Hopefully someone who is 100% confident of this procedure will chime in for ya...

I know on my 06 the throttle side goes into the switch housing and on the clutch side you use set screws. This was with the rsd grips or the performance machine grips.

Very easy install on the TBW bikes with the HD grips, I put the stealth on mine. Just follow the included instructions.

Thanks for the responses, dealer said 1/2 hour about $40.00. I think I'll save those funds for something else.

Yeah, a grip change on the newer TBW bikes is a piece of cake! Still have to be careful with the front brake light switch, but not having to mess with two cables and the ferrules is great. Also, the service manual says you should drain (seriously) the brake reservoir. Hmmm.... seriously, no.

Somebody clue me in on the brake light switch? I have a manual but can't find much about the grip replacement.
