i think its in the brake section,,,cant remember,,,,but it is in there,,,, just pull the lever back like your grabbing a handfull of brake and place a piece of cardboard in between the the brake lever and the housing so the lever cant return to it normal postion,,,change grip put it back together and the last thing to do after everything is tightened back up and fitting together without gaps or anything ,,, take out the cardboard .......and also take care not to pinch any wires between the bars and the housing,,,,,,,,,,

Default Piece of cake

I installed the Black Diamonds from HD on mine and no problem what so ever. Easy as 123!

Getting ready to change my grips out and was wondering if this applies to '09's?

Who has done this?

Same thing. Use a piece of cardboard so that the brake lever doesn't go back to it's original resting position while changing out the grips.

Here's a link to the install instructions from the HD site. Like others have said take your time and follow the instructions and you'll have no problem. I've changed grips on both TBW and throttle cable bikes and the TBW install is much easier.

Default grips

Brake light switch....small switch between brake lever and control housing...very easy to keep in place....when you change the throttle grip which just slides into grooves place a small piece of cardboard between the lever and housing to put pressure on the switch

Default Kuryakyn ISO grip left side came loose

Thank gawd the grip has a big flange that fits into the housing. I took the grip off and applied some contact cement and reinstalled. That pretty much insures I have to replace it if I ever try to remove it but at least it doesn't spin anymore.
