Default question on harley grips

i just replaced my stock grips on my 08 roadglide with the harley flame grips, all went well but now i have alot of play in the grip where it goes into the switch housing, like up down sideways move ment, yhe throttle works a lot easyer now and does not seem to pull out from the housing. anyone have any thoughts on if there should be a problem with them or if this is just normal for these grips

Did you use grip goo? Grips need some kind of adhesive. I dont know what HD sells or recomends if anything at all?

Make sure that the grips are in the proper position on the bars.&nbsp\\; When you change these it is important to have tight against the bar ends, and in the proper orientaion in the clamps.

When you installed the grips, make sure that the switch housing did not creep closer to the end of the handlebar. When I installed my grips, it did that and the grips felt loose and sloppy. I loosened the switch housing clamps, pushed them back up the bars a little, retightened, and all was well.
&nbsp\\;
Hope this helps.

Too loose, too tight. I'm still trying to get mine right.
