Got back from dawg's place yesterday afternoon and the bike ran awesome! Great job by dawg on the install! He is THE MAN! Not only did he work on the bike he was also supplied dinner and sleeping accomadations in the dawg pound. I had a great time and the bike runs awesome. I haven't been up till 4am since college.
Hats off to dawg for a great job!
soos say's he's ready for us to start ripping into his bike now.
Awesome job with the camera. Where's the caption under the pic of me standing next to my damaged truck? Or the caption under you taking a looooong time to remove the floorboard?
I noticed a big difference in passing power with the new cams in. Before at about 70 or so when I'd go to pass the bike didn't have a lot of juice. On the way home yesterday after doing the herko cam conversion kit with the Andrews 26 cams the bike had a lot more passing power! I could roll on the throttle and pass the cars at close to supersonic speed(well, maybe not supersonic, but close )! Also I didn't lose any mileage and maybe gained a shade. I was getting about 40 mpg before the cams and tune and just a shade over after.
Another big shout out to dawg for some great work! It takes me longer to change brake pads than it does dawg to do cams including taking the tank and rocker box covers off. And we'd have been done even sooner if we didn't run into the cam chest cover from he!!.
Gotta have pics and a "Wall of Shame" for posting them there. I have some pics of some real dumb things I have done with my bike...
Live and learn!
Glad all went well
