What speakers u get could be determined by what u listen to. If u are wanting the best possible sound and still be able to use all of the radio functions, I would go with firecap's ARC speakers (they are 4 ohm rated so u get more bang for the buck because of less impedence). This is because if u ever listen to AM and get an amp, ur screwed. The amp will kill the AM signal. I listen to ESPN mostly so this is the best choice for me.

When talking to firecap he said that he replaces biktronics speakers the most, followed by hogtunes. Not saying they are bad products, just his experince. Ive got his number and he really will answer any question reguardless of if it makes his product look good or bad. PM me.

Don't forget Biketronics. They have a 6.5" kit that works very well and includes adapters - installs in less time than it takes to talk about it. Next comes a Sony head unit and welcome relief from the HK Glitch Gremlin.

I added the Hogtunes front speakers, Amp, and Tweeter bar.

That complete combination is absolutely fantastic. I have now traveled a couple of thousand miles with the system installed, and couldn't be happier. The sound, even at 70 or 80 mph is solid in high and low range with no distortion.

Thinking about now adding the rear set to my Ultra as well.

Pic of tweeter bar is attached. Rest is behind the faring of course

i am studying the same issue. i installed the hogtunes tweeter pod, and am very impressed, and now that the hi frequency is covered, it shows a lack in midrange and bass. so gotta change out the factory speakers for an upgrade. still studying. probably will go with the hogtunes main speakers too. not in a hurry though. good thread and it is giving me information.

I went with hawg-wired amp and speakers 150 watts i love it. I had the system in 06 sg and now in my 09 sg sounds great. I can go down the road at 80 and here the radio real clear. My wife has an 09 sg with stock speakers and know amp and she cant hardley hear her radio. Iam sold on hawg-wired.
