I agree with the others, give them a chance to make it right.
However, that is a **** poor job. I can't believe a reputable company would make something that looks like that. Totally crappy and negligent workmanship there.
Cool down before you call them, then explain the problems and include the pictures, I don't think there is much of an argument as the pictures pretty much tell the story ! ! ! !
G@@D LUCK
As stated in my first post, I have sent them an E-mail complete with story and pictures. As of right now I still haven't heard anything from them. I also hope they make it right and I'm giving them that chance. If they make it right, I'll post here accordingly.
Damn, why ya'll got yer back up cause I posted pics and the story? just wanted opinions other than my own on the quality and expectations that I have. Thought I might be nit picking. Sorry if I offended anyone. Guess I'll vent somewhere else next time.
I ordered a CEEBAILEY 2" over. It showed up really late (3 weeks) and 8" over instead ! I wish I would have taken a picture.
Anyway I dealt with them by phone & sent it back. They made it right just in the nick of time for our trip. Then without asking, they refunded my payment back to my credit card.
I really think they have some real clowns running the machinery there.
The first windshield I got from them broke where it screws ends at the corners. They sent out another one with a thicker base and it seems to be ok. Customer service was pretty good.

I don't think you offended anyone so don't get bent out of shape yourself. When people read your original post they probably overlooked the fact that you had already communicated with the manuf. and just tried to suggest that you give them a chance to make it right. On the other hand, I didn't get the impression that you were slamming Bailey's so much as venting your frustration...which is perfectly normal. If you haven't heard from them by now, then give them a call and talk to someone in charge and hopefully you will get satisfaction. In the meantime ride off some of that frustration.
Ok--just to be clear. This is a Cee Baileys windshield ordered through Rider Specialties. Been dealing with Carla at Rider Specialties. Just got an E-mail tonight (after I e-mailed her and asked her why I haven't heard anything from anyone yet), and was told I should contact Cee Baileys directly. She said they have offered to refund $75 and her hands are tied.
I just E-mailed Cee Baileys directly and explained the whole story and included pics.
Not slamming anyone here, but In my opinion, as the end seller, Rider Specialties should handle this and if they can't get a proper windshield to me as promised, they should refund my money and then they should fight it out with Cee Baileys to get their money back. Seems to me that Rider Specialties bailed on me.
And the new shield made your fasteners disappear too! I'd be extra pissed!
I came close to purchasing one of their shields but never heard back from them with a quote for the engraving. I am sorry to hear you are having such problems however, I do believe as one posted that you ought to give them a chance to make it right. I'm sure they will. Good luck!
