Ever try a pair of ear plugs? no kidding - they take care of the "dirty noise" and allow you to hear the stereo and pipes.

Works for me anyway...

Hogtunes. Good stuff and not too pricey.

Biketronics 6.5" speakers - much better range of sound. Many others make a similar product that probably work just as well.

If people are going to be honest with you then they will tell you this...

Buy a good set of component speakers by a respected company such as JL Audio, FOCAL, Diamond Audio, Memphis Audio, etc....

Get a good quality Head Unit such as Alpine, Eclipse, higher end Kenwood, etc...

Get a good mini amplifier...the arc audio amplifier is a really good choice and firecap sells it.

Getting a good amp and speakers are the most important part. Without an amplifier simply replacing the stock speakers won't result in much because 1) speakers won't be getting any more power 2) the speakers will be getting the same shitty signal from the stock HU as the stock speakers were getting. If you have to skimp somewhere or want to keep the install relatively easy and retain the handle bar controls then just add an amplifier and a good set of component speakers.
