Default Scratch removers....

Well, due to the popular color of my scoot....I have tried nearly every type of scratch remover out there. Those annoying swirls just drive me nuts. I have florescent (sp) lighting in my garage, and it shows up stuff that you would never see in the sunlight. Here is what I have tried.....

Harley scratch and swirl treatment

Meguires scratch polish ( black tube )

GS 27 scratch remover

Scratch doctor ( orange and black tube )

3M imperial hand glaze

Here is what I have found.........

If the scratches and swirls are extremely minor, any of these products will work to some degree. The first thing I like to grab is the Meguires. For EXTREMELY light polishing, Scratch doctor is a good product. The 3m hand glaze is a pretty good product as well.

But my absolute favorite.....The HD scratch and swirl treatment. The bottle even says that the polishing particles start out fairly aggressive, and actually break down while you rub to polish out the scratches. This stuff really works. It works good on minor swirls, but really shines on those "UH-oh's" Like accidentally letting the hose drag across the front fender ( Dammit! )

And, unlike most HD products, it is actually priced competitively with the other products listed. The 3M is by far the most expensive, but you get like a half a gallon of product so it will last nearly an eternity if all you do is polish a motorcycle......
