Do any of you know of an oil temperature gauge that can replace the (useless) air temp gauge in the fairing. I have a Street Glide, so would want the matching white faced gauge.
I have one made by Roger Mcquen (not spelled right) - This guy was the first to do this, been in my bike now for almost two years and it works great. I am a fire fighter and at work this morning until 0800 - I will post here later with details... when I get home....
Funny how the one under Street glide on the Hd page is under "functional" versus the useless air temp gauge. Has anyone purchased this gauge? does it come with all ness. hardware? Seems to be going on the order sheet for the bike. This is awesome.
I just installed the silver oil face gauge in my SEEG but hasn't quit raining to try it out yet. It comes with the wiring and sending unit. It is nearly impossible to install the sender where the MOCO wants you to (in a supplied elbow fitting in the return hose from engine to oil tank). If you do install it there, the std chrome cover will not work any more. I installed the sending unit in the oil pan in the plug (removed) next to the engine oil drain plug. A lot easier and cleaner look-all you have to do is buy a bushing from Lowe's to adapt from the sender unit size to the pan plug size.
