I am changing out the levers, putting a chrome controls/mcyl cover kit on and thinking I ought to get braided cables and do it all at once.
My issue is, I am not that handy but so far I have been able to pull off any easy mod myself but..rather than find out the hard way, I have a question that is likely easy for you super duper harley fixin' types. 3" longer braided cables? I assume those are for custom bars or if I have stock bars is there an advantage to this?
Stock bars, stock length cable. Otherwise you have to deal with where to route the extra.
Extra tip on braided cables, get the ones with a clear cover on 'em. Braided steel is like a saw & vibration will cause 'em to saw through anything they rub against...........even frames.
