Default Chirpless Mode Programming Revisited

Hello again,

I am trying to program chirpless mode on the factory HD alarm on my 09 Ultra.
I am unable to get it to work as described in the owners manual and service manual.
I checked on Google and it seems that no one has really been able to program chirpless mode with any success although a couple people have claimed to do it.

I've used the search function here and have come up with a few threads but the general opinion is still that the factory directions are wrong. I found on another forum where they were saying to turn the ignition on/off 3 times fast, then look for the flashing lights, etc.

I can live with the arming/disarming chirps but at 4 a.m. those chirps are very loud...

Any advice would be appreciated.

Take care,
Dave

Yours or mine? Mine starts fine. I just wanted to get the chirp to go away when it unarms. To be honest, it's really not that loud anyway....

If yours won't start, that's a whole different story.

I had the 68328-06 model and the HD mechanic that I spoke with said even though it says in the manual, there is no way to make it chirpless.

I upgraded to the 68328-06A, and now it's chirpless when it arms and disarms.

I had simliar trouble on my '09 but was sucessful when I used the key light as my guide to turn off and on the ignition. If you wait for the signal lights to flash then it won't work. As soon as the key light goes off turn on or off the ignition as it says in the manual.
