I want to thank Dawg for posting the bulletin a while back for the Jiffy stand bracket update.
Service bulletin M-1243 shows that if the consumer feels the bike leans to far over , it can be replaced under warranty.
I printed out the bulletin and showed it to my local dealer , who had never heard of this update.
I asked if it would be possible to order one and have mine replaced , and they said sure.
They installed it today , and the difference is obvious for sure.
My bike was built in July of 08 so it was one of the affected according to the bulletin.
The new Jiffy stand bracket is part # 50096-09 and the dealer had it in 7 days.
The bike feels so much easier to bring up off the stand now and I'm not worried about bending the handlebars over time anymore.
A worthwhile item to have installed , now it feels like my 06 Standard did.
Thanks again for keeping us up to date on bulletins and other goodies.
