The standard Jackpots with 2" right baffle are 1.9db (~25%) louder than stock, based on some tests Fuel Moto ran. If you want it a bit quieter with no noticeable performance hit ask for the 1.75" right baffle, which will quieten it down a tad. It might even boost the low-end a bit, too.

I agree with the Supertrapps. They have been making the disk style of mufflers for years (You may recall seeing them in pictures of hotrods from the 50s and 60s.) and they are recognized for their performance capabilities.

I have just had ear surgery and I wanted something that sounds good but I needed something that wasn't too loud. As per the Supertrapp sales pitch, I figured if the Fat Shots were too loud I could just remove disks and make them quieter.

I just installed the new Supertrapp Fat Shots on my '08 RK and went for a 150 mile ride today. The sound of the Fat Shots is very deep and yet they're not too loud, regardless of the throttle twist. I know, others will say "Muffler X really barks when you giver" but that's not what I want in a muffler - I want good deep sound at all stages, I don't see the need to have it bark at any speed. I may experiment with adding more disks to see if there is still some untapped power in the bike but it doesn't seem to hindering the power with the 10 disks per side recommended by Supertrapp.

If you are looking for a deep sound that you can tune for loudness, give the Fat Shots a try - they're way (WAY) cheaper than the V&H Monster Ovals.

BTW, I have never been a fan of the sound clips that you find online for the different mufflers but the Fat Shot sound clip at http://forums.supertrapp.com/showthr...p?t=308&page=5 very closely matches my bikes sound on my PC speakers. YMMV

thats supposing that you are using the stock header pipes with the crossover isn't it? you wouldn't want mismatched baffles if you were running true duals (i'm thinking.....)

If your going Supertrapps go for the 2 into 1 disk or Fat Shots disk as badjustbad suggested; as for the Supertrapp SE's, they sound like a set of jackhammers on the open road and are definetly a set of ear ringers. Check out the attached videos http://forums.supertrapp.com/showthr...p?t=308&page=7. Compare the SE Street Performance to the Fuelmoto Jackpot 1.75 or 2" right side muffler, which I'm thinking of going with.

Are the Supertrapp Fat Shots a slip on or an entire system? I'd rather keep my 09 headpipes if possible.
